Association Programs
Virtual Meetings
Participate in virtual discussions on topics with CSU faculty and administration and connect with other parents to share insights and experiences.
In-Person Gatherings
Meet fellow parents at special CSU events, including Homecoming, I Love Coppin Week, and Athletics gatherings, to share tips and resources and celebrate our Coppin community together.
Support Recruitment
Help grow the Eagle family! Join events like Destination Coppin or Open House to connect with prospective student families and share your Coppin story.
Financial Support
Provide meaningful support through the Family Scholarships fund, which helps students who need additional financial resources to complete their Coppin journey.
Executive Board 2024-2025
Board members will be announced soon! Below are the roles we are looking to fill:
President
Lead the Coppin State University Parent Association and serve as the main point of contact for the administration. Speak on behalf of the parents and attend all Parent Association events and meetings. The President leads meetings and events, delegating tasks to other leadership and members as appropriate, and represents parents’ concerns to college administration.
Vice President
Assists the President and assumes leadership in their absence. Responsible for membership initiatives, including recruiting new members and tracking member enrollment.
Secretary
Maintains meeting minutes and records, handles correspondence, ensures timely communication with members, and organizes and archives important documents.
Treasurer
Manages the association’s finances, including budgets and fundraising efforts. Prepares financial reports per semester and annually, ensuring transparency. Oversees scholarships or grants funded by the association.
Fundraising Chair
Develops and implements strategies for raising funds to support the association’s initiatives, scholarships, or campus projects.
Event Chair
Plans and organizes parent association events in collaboration with university staff, such as family weekends, workshops, or social gatherings.
Communications Chair
Manages newsletters, social media, and other communication tools to keep parents informed. Promotes association events and initiatives.
